Hello my dear readers, how are you? I hope you are enjoying springtime as much as I do these days! :) Today it’s time for a new photography-related blogpost and I want to show you my brand new Fujifilm instax SQUARE SQ6 camera which I tested this week.
My long-term cooperation partner Fujifilm has invited me to an event for the official release of the new Fujifilm instax SQUARE SQ6 camera and so far, I’m having lots of fun with it! Read this blogpost to get to know more and to be inspired by plenty of bright and happy photos!
Instant Photo Fun with the Fujifilm instax SQUARE SQ6 Camera
During the past couple of days, I tested my new camera like crazy, took it home and even went to a dinosaur exhibition with it.
Did you get curious? Read this post and I’ll tell you more! :)
Launch Event with the Fujifilm instax SQUARE SQ6 Camera
This past Tuesday, some journalists, photographers, Instagrammers, fellow bloggers and I have been invited to Fabrik 23, an extremely beautiful event location in Berlin Wedding.
We were introduced to the new cameras and photographer Felix Rachor showed us some hacks and tipps for analog instant photography.
Everyone of us got an own camera to explore the location and its surroundings and to test the new fun toy ourselves.
This new Fuji instax camera will be released in June and will come to stores with those double packs of instant film with 20 shots for about 18,99€. As you can already see, the photo’s format is SQUARE and I absolutely love this! This time, they are also available with a black frame (10,99€) for the emo kids among you ;).
I spent most of my time during the event with lovely Nic of Luzia Pimpinella and lovely Bine of was eigenes – such a pleasure to see them both again!
As you can see here, I tested the camera’s selfie mode. Moreover, the camera comes with a small mirror next to its lens so that you can see yourself, check your hair and see who’s in the photo. I really like the sharpness of this photo and quite often, I experienced that instant photos don’t come with such bright colors as those you can see here.
The three of us explored the backyard of the location and easily took a whole bunch of fun photos together.
We had a really great afternoon, followed by a roller disco session (yes, really!!! :)) and a delicious dinner with all the other people. Back at home, I further tested the camera.
Get to know the new Fujifilm instax SQUARE SQ6 Camera
So here are the hard facts:
– The analog instant camera will be available in June and costs 139€
– You can for example order the camera online in the Fujifilm instax shop
– It comes in three colors: Blush Gold (this is mine which you see above), Pearl White and Graphite Gray
– It’s a stylish camera for daily use with easy handling and creative features
– Photos are square (62 x 62mm), yippie!
– There is an automated exposure control due to which fore- and background are displayed in perfect brightness
– The camera has a selfie-mirror next to the lens
– There are three colored filters for the flash (orange, purple and green) which you can easily attach to the flash
The camera is equipped with amazing different modes:
– Automatic mode
– Selfie-mode: exposure and focal length are adjusted automatically
– Macro: for sharp close-ups
– Landscape: for sharp landscape shots for motifs which are far away
– Double exposure: you can take two photos which are layered over each other
– Light: highkey-effect for manual adjustment of brightness
– Dark: lowkey-effect for when it’s too bright
And one of the best things is: you can turn of the flash! This is so good for all lovers of natural light. Moreover, the camera is equipped with a practical self-timer.
During the time at the roller skate disco, I tested the camera with the orange flash. So much fun, as you can see!
Nic and I shot portraits of each other and played with the cameras all afternoon.
As you can see, double exposure works pretty well! Haven’t you always wanted to be in a photo with your imaginary twin? ;)
Ha, again another double exposure shot with the Fuji instax SQUARE camera. It’s not hard to guess that this is my fave mode, right?
So. much. fun!
Dinosaur Fun with the Fujifilm instax SQUARE SQ6 Camera
Yestersday I also took the camera out for some photo fun with my dear friend Anni of Bazooka Crafts. We visited a dino exhibition (roaaaarrrr!!!) and I took some shots there.
Yippie yay for square format instant photos! Do you see the upper left shot with me and the T-Rex? It’s again a double exposure shot. I first took a selfie in front of a plain blue wall, then I took a photo of the dino in automatic mode. The photo of Anni and me in the middle was taken with the selfie-mode and we were both able to see us in the selfie-mirror, thus being able to check if we were both in the photo. :D
Rawwwww!
Such a fun toy! Can’t wait to use it during my holidays to make new memories with it.
Do you own a Fujifilm instant camera? Which one is your favorite? During my last summer holidays, I took plenty of photos with my bright blue Fuji instax mini 9 camera and I quite often use my instax SHARE SP-2 printer to print out my smartphone photos as instant photos.
Happy sunny day! :)
