(P.S.: Today I’m celebrating a little Crafty Christmas party with a few of my favorite blogger pals, can’t wait to tell you more and to show you photos!! :))
How much I love my Christmas decor.

Hey! :) Eeeeks, it’s time to share a part of my Christmas decor.
Each year we decorate our home in red, green and white and we use natural decor elements like cinnamon sticks, pine cones and fir. I love those classical elements for Christmas decor and we are also using them this year, but only in Flo’s room (which is also our living room) and in the kitchen. For my room, I wanted to make it diffently this year, I decided for bright colors and a color concept which matches the overall look of my room.

I went out into the woods and collected lots of branches which I painted white. I put them into a vase and decorated them with colorful Christmas bulbs, I love all the contrasts and that everything is so bright and beautiful to look at.

How do you like my decor? :)
I will also sew a tiny bunting in turquoise and pink for my room and maybe I’ll also show you a few photos of the classical decor in the other rooms. :)

Patchwork Birthday Present.

Heyyy! :) Here’s one of my latest sewing projects, I couldn’t wait to share it any longer. It has recently been my mother’s birthday and I wanted to make something special for her, something which is useful and still pretty.
It has been the first time I have been sewing a patchwork blanket and it was lots of work, it took me two days, but was lots of fun and totally worth the effort. My mother loves it and I’m super proud of the result.
I chose various kinds of floral fabrics in light colors and I made several rows in different sizes to make the top side of the blanket interesting and nice to look at. The back of the blanket is made of polyester so that my mother will be kept warm. :)
Have you ever been working on a huge patchwork project? :)

(Christmas) Rubber Stamp DIY

Hello everyone! I have often been asked about how I make my stamps and here’s a DIY for you. Making stamps yourself is super easy and you can grow your own collection of stamps for various occasions.

You need:
– An eraser / rubber
– An inkpad
– A pencil
– A cutter set for linoleum

1. Draw your motif onto an eraser. 2. + 3. Choose the cutter with a small width. 4. Use it to cut out the outlines. 5. Choose a cutter with a bigger width. 6. Use it to cut out the areas between the pencil lines.

Try out your stamp and see of there’s anything you want to correct.

You can make all different kinds of stamps and for example use them to embellish your Christmas mail. :)
Have fun,
Lu

DIY: Embellish Jars for Advent Candles

Hello! Here’s something I already posted last year, but because this idea is so easy and pretty to look at and because many of you haven’t been knowing my blog at that time, I thought I could share these pretty jars again and tell you how to make them.

Supplies needed:
– Empty jars
– Gift wrapping paper and some paperboard scraps
– Fabric scraps
– (Paper) doilies
– Wool and ribbons
– A hot-glue gun
– 4 tealights
It’s super easy: cut out paper or fabric in the size of your jars and wrap it around them. Use ribbons, wool and the hot-glue gun to attach everything to the jars and embellish them with tiny bows and paperboard numbers. The varieties are endless, it is made really fast and a super pretty last minute gift!
The only thing you have to pay attention to is that your jars shouldn’t be too high and narrow, bacause otherwise it will be difficult to put the tealights inside and to ignite them.

Have fun! :)
