I love being at the lake.

July 14, 2010

This is one of the new bows I made to pimp my summer dress. :)

Currently it’s so incredibly hot in Germany, and for me, the only way to stand the heat is to go swimming and to eat a lot of watermelon. :) Fortunately, I’ve only got one course at university, so afterwards I will directly go to the lake. Although I have to learn for my exams, for me this is the perfect way to spent the day and I will take my learning stuff with me. Do you have a great place for cooling down in your area or any other advice to stand the heat? :)
Wish you a great and sunny day! :)
Love, Lu

Being at one of my most favourite places this summer. <3

A great picnic Anja and I had at the lake last week. :)
Mogli tried swimming again yesterday.

And at some point, he didn’t want to try it anymore. :)

Mogli the little mermaid.

July 12, 2010

These two images where taken during our holiday trip to the Netherlands two years ago, not yesterday at the lake. :)
Hi! :)
Yesterday, we taught Mogli how to swim!!!!! :) It was soooo amazing and I couldn’t believe it! :) Since two summers we have been trying to teach him how to swim and although he loves water, he always only went so far into the lake or sea as he was able to stand and he didn’t understand that he was able to swim. During the last summers, we have always been practicing a bit and have been trying to convince him to follow us further into the water, but he was suspicous. Last week, we tried it again and he nearly swam, but then he only paddled a bit with his front legs. Then, yesterday, Flo and I went to the lake where dogs are allowed to swim again and tried our luck. While we were trying to persuade him to swim for two hours, he more and more paddled and one saw that he really wanted to follow us into the deeper water, but he didn’t know how. Then, boys with a football came and Mogli wanted this ball soooo bad. We used it to entice him, the boys helped us and it worked!! :) It was soooo cute so see him swimming, I was even moved to tears, because we have been trying it for so long. At first, he was a bit clumsy, but then we helped him a bit and put our arms under his belly and he swam again and again and wanted to reach us when we swam away from him. It was great to see his trust in us and we were so proud of him and ouselves. :) Great day and a great way of spending the hot day in the lake. :)
Love, Lu

Some new items.

July 8, 2010

Hi! :)
Wow, it was so hot outside today that I was nearly melting. :) I went to Berlin to bring some new items to the shop for selling them there. I brought the first ones there about 2 months ago and so far I have sold 11 items, mostly brooches, hair bows and two pairs of earrings. To my surprise, none of my necklaces were sold, but somebody has stolen one of them which means that there is at least one person who likes them. :) With selling these 11 items, the shop and I have earned about 68€ and because I get  half of the income, I’ve just earned the first 34€ by selling my own handmade stuff. :) So when I went there today, I also picked up the money and was sooo proud of myself. Don’t get me wrong, the money itself is not that important for me, but it is great to see that somebody conciders my items being worth spending money on them and this is great! :) So here you can see the new hair bows and the two purses I made. :)

By the way, so far I wasn’t able to do any of the Summer Camp projects due to a lack of time, but has anybody of you created something? :) During the next two weeks I will be a bit busy with university stuff since I’m going to write some exams, but afterwords I will have some more free time and I’m so much looking forward it. :)
Enjoy your day,
Love Lu :)

P.S.: Some weeks ago I promised to have my next giveaway as soon as I have 100 readers. The number of readers increases steadily and I can’t hardly wait to announce the next giveaway then. :)

Do you like soccer? :)

July 3, 2010

Normally, I’m not a soccer fan, because soccer is one of the things I’m totally not interested in, but during the World Cup, I’m absolutely in a fever of anticipation and I watch every game of the German team. :)
Here in Germany it’s currently very hot, the normal average temperature is about 30°C (86°F). Last week I spent two days at the lake and one nearly couldn’t stand the heat. How warm is it in your hometown?
Here are some images from today’s soccer game where Germany played against Argentinia. :) Germany won 4-0 and it was a great atmosphere at the club where we watched the match. :)

(This is my absolutely favourite picture of the day. :))
So what about you, are you watching the Fifa World Cup? :)
