New Chest of Drawers from Fashion for Home.

August 14, 2012

Chest of drawers: c/o Fashion for Home

Hello! :) I have recently been contacted by Fashion for Home and was invited to choose a piece of furniture and what I got was this beautiful chest of drawers. As you hopefully know, I only introduce shops or items which I personally like and this is the case with this item! :)
Before, I had a normal, average chest of drawers (which I then moved to our hall to store some other things) on which I placed my TV, but then I received this pretty piece of furniture and I must say that I totally love it! It looks way prettier than the old one, it’s material is of a higher quality, it’s really solid and provides enough space to store lots of tools and supplies. :)

What I especially like are all the tiny drawers, they really help me to organize craft supplies better and it’s easier to sort them. I also love that it’s relatively high, so it’s perfect to display some memories and a part of my camera collection.

All in all, I think this chest of drawers perfectly fits into my room and matches my style. I can totally recommend this shop and I’m happy that I can welcome Fashion for Home as a sponsor of my blog!

(P.S.: I’ll soon share a complete room tour! :) I changed a lot since we moved in here last fall and there are many new details I want to show you…

Our Sweet Berlin Adventure: One magical week with some really fantastic people!

August 12, 2012

left photo by Stef

Hello and happy Sunday! Here’s finally my post about the week I enjoyed so much, I couldn’t wait to share these photos!
Last fall I got to know Stefanie of Squeaky Swing and Stef of Magnoliaelectric through blogging. We soon started commenting on each other’s blogs, wrote guest posts for each other and exchanged e-mails. Then, in spring, the idea was born to meet each other in reality. Stefanie and I wrote a lot of mails and thought that it would be really nice to see each other in person and that we should one day meet each other. She suggested that this would be a great thing to do in the semester holidays and then I spontaneously invited her for summer to visit me! :) We thought that we couldn’t do this without Stef, so I invited her, too. It didn’t take long until we started planning everything, were totally excited and made plans for our summer adventure.
The first moment we saw each other at the train station when I picked them up, it was clear that we liked each other a lot and that we would become friends! :) We were soooo excited and couldn’t believe that we were finally meeting each other and this was the start of a magical week I’ll never forget, we had soooo much fun together, talked a lot, exchanged some memories, talked about future plans, about blogging, encouraged each other, inspired each other and we learned a lot!
This week was full of little photo shoots, delicious food, restaurant dates, ice cream, fashion and shopping tours and went by way too fast.

On the first day we did a really long outfit shoot for an upcoming project we are planning together (starts August 19… :)) and then Anja and I showed them around Potsdam, the beautiful city where we live. :) We went to the best ice cream parlour that I know (they make the best sorbet in the whole wide world!) and in the evening we ate delicious burgers.
On the next day we got up pretty early and the four of us drove to the Baltic Sea (photos coming soon in a seperate blog post) where we had a really lovely, but also exhausting day. :)

On Friday, we went to Berlin and picked up lovely Laura of Tagträumerin (we also got to know each other through our blogs, she’s such a great person!) und Fabienne of 59th Streetbridge, who’s been an online friend of Stef for many years, with whom we spent the entire fantastic weekend!! :) We also met Anne of Gutentag.info and Laura of Himbeermarmelade and the seven of us spent Friday afternoon together, eating, shopping and taking photos.

All our colorful outfits… :)

We’ve been to cupcake heaven and went to Cupcake Berlin.

Those cupcakes are to die for! My favourite is the carrot cupcake!

All those pretty shops in Friedrichshain! We found some cute things and some of us took a few treasures home. We’re also been to Frieda Hain, fabric and child’s stuff paradise (a separate post coming about this, soon).

Then we went to an old industrial area where I’ve already been for an outfit shoot. There we spent a few hours, taking outfits photos and group shots.

Photobooth love.

Dinner at Vego Foodworld (they have the best veggie burgers, ever!) and we’ve been to the DIY exhibition at the Museum for Communication.

A perfect late Sunday afternoon at the Mauerpark, enjoying open air karaoke.

There you can get the best waffles and shakes and I loooooooove their furniture and decor!!!

This chair is sooo beautiful.

To end this magical week, we went on the 37th floor of a building to have a view over Berlin. Oh my, what a great time!

This week was really special and I learned so much and made new friends! Thank you so much for these wonderful days, Stefanie, Stef, Anja, Laura & Fabienne, can’t wait to see you again!

If you want to see the other’s photos which have been poste so far, have a look at Stefanie’s blog, Stef’s Blog & at Laura’s blog. :)

Recipe: Blue Captain // Sailor Cocktail.

August 11, 2012

Hello! :) Today I wanna share a party recipe with you. :)
When I prepared everything for Flo’s maritime birthday party, I was searching for a cocktail which matched the decor and the party’s theme and I found a recipe for a non-alcoholic cocktail called Blue Captain.
I wanted to make it with some alcohol and I made a few other tiny changes and here’s my final result, the recipe I used for the party:

You need:

– Curacao Blue liqueur
– White rum
– Lime juice (I better like fresh juice)
– Bitter lemon

How much you need of the several ingredients depends on how you want the cocktail to taste and how much alcohol you want to have inside.
About 50% of my cocktail consisted of bitter lemon, about another 20% consisted of liquer, about 20% of white rum and about 10% lime juice.
Mhhhh, this is soooo delicious and refreshing in summer! :)
Happy Saturday!

Helloooo! :) Last weekend in Berlin we took tons of photos and always found the time and perfect place for a little outfit shoot. :) Laura & I took a few photos together, you can see the details of her awesome & colorful outfit on her blog. :)
After we had exchanged many e-mails and got the feeling that we would perfectly get along and like each other in real life, it was awesome to finally meet her and even take photos together. Can’t wait to share more photos of last week, I’m still organizing everything and planning upcoming blog post. Sooo sad that this awesome time is over!
