Dear people, THANK YOU! Back last late fall, my wonderful friend and colleague Maria of NUDE Collective had the idea for a creative charity project and asked me to join her.
Thank you for our dear friends and colleagues who supported us buy buying our shirt and by volunteering to take photos in it with us! You are wonderful!
In short: we did a brainstorming for a wording, I did some handlettering drafts, we decided on our fave one, got it printed in shirts, sold these during the last four months in her Etsy shop and she then donated all the profits that we made to a women’s shelter in Berlin. If you want to read more about the details and have missed out on our project so far, you can here find my detailed blogpost about our ‘All Boobs Are Beautiful’ charity campaign on my blog.
Our ‘All Boobs are Beautiful’ Charity Project – The Outcome
We sold 35 of these shirts, earned more than 1.200€ with them and had outgoings of about 750€. If you are interested in the details, you can check out the detailed cost calculation list which Maria published in her current blogpost with the charity project summary.
So in the end, after deducting all the costs (of course excluding our working time), we were able to raise a total of 465,08€!!! Maria and I decided to round this up together and then donated the total sum of 500€ to Schokoladenfabrik e.V., a women’s shelter and center in Berlin which is Europe’s largest open space of that kind with 1,200 sqm2 offering a range of councelling, leisure, social and handicraft services. People there do such important work and we wanted to support this!
Thank you all for making this possible with your purchases!
Free Plotting File with the ‘All Boobs are Beautiful’ Lettering
As a little surprise to thank you for making this happen and to further spread the message that all boobs should be cherished, no matter which size or shape or color they have, Maria developed a free plotter file which you can download for private, non-commercial usage (!). Use it to put the message on further shirts, on your fave pillow, onto a tote bag or whatever. In her blogpost, Maria explains you what to take care of when plotting.
Thank you for this wonderful project idea and for getting me on board, Maria!
And thank you to all of you who bought shirts, who shared the information about our campaign and who supported us in any other way.
Let’s celebrate boobs and empower each other!
