Hi friends! This past summer was really exciting for me. I had more than two months off, traveled around and one of the many happy things I did was getting myself a longboard.
After having tried this once about two years ago, I still couldn’t forget about this feeling rolling around on a board. Then this summer, my friends and I wanted to rent boards to practice this fun sport and I decided to buy myself a longboard, hooray! I bought it at Ete Clothing where you can also rent boards for one day or longer in case you just want to carefully try it out without any further commitment.
Longboarding in Berlin: From Airport to Park – The Tempelhofer Feld
One of the best places in Berlin to go longboarding is the Tempelhofer Feld. The former airport is nowadays used as a public park and it is huuuuge. There you have lots of space for getting used to a board, you can cruise around and have fun times.
Together with my friends Eric and Eva (a.k.a. Kiez Couture), I spent one wonderful late summer afternoon on the old runway. Eric has been boarding for ages and he was super patient in giving us a lesson.
We stayed outside all day and in the evening we treated ourselves with fast food and a new episode of Game of Thrones. Perfection. Thank you for the fun time, my dear friends!
We quickly met again for another longboard adventure and I am so so happy that I dared to try out something new. The best things always happen outside the comfort zone.
