Hey everyone, happy happy weekend! :) You know I love theme parties, decor concepts and everything colorful.

So for my last birthday a few months back in February, I came up with a Rock’n’Roll party and bright decor elements.

To celebrate growing older, living alone and independently and enjoying life, I invited my best friends and some other lovely people and together we had a super fun night!
My Rock’n’Roll Party Decor

My best friend Anja and I spent one whole evening making those two types of buntings while re-watching some episodes of Game of Thrones (oh Jon Snow! :)). We hung them across the whole room and made everything look extra pretty.

Highly inspired by the pretty golden circle wall decor seen on the Design Love Fest blog, I made a scallop photo backdrop. Moreover, I set up huge artificial lamps and a tripod to use this spot in my bedroom as a place for taking photos of the guests in their pretty costumes (in case you need some theme party outfit inspiration, follow my Rock’n’Roll style inspiration board on Pinterest).

Using a bold black felt tip, cardboard, a hot glue gun and wooden sticks, I made some pretty photo props matching the theme of the party.

One could then either use the camera on the tripod or a smartphone for taking photos in front of the golden wall.

As the whole room was decorated, my friends also decided to add tons of confetti with making me smash a handmade strawberry-shaped pinata. :D

The party was aweeeeeesome and I can’t wait to show you the food table and to plan the next theme party one day soon.
The black and white photos have all been taken by my friend and photographer Alexander Rentsch who is based in Berlin. Let him know if you need good photos! :)
Have you ever thrown a theme party?
Happy day! :)
