Back in January 2015, I spontaneously started with handlettering and gave it a try during a lunch break after I had heard about it on Instagram and Pinterest for a couple of times. In the years before that, I have already been working with pen and paper quite often, doing illustrations and drawings, but the art of combining fonts and pretty letters was rather new to me. I taught myself handlettering by means of imitating fonts I liked and found on Pinterest and I quickly became better, soon starting to develop my own style and own signature fonts. During the last couple of years, I nearly lettered every day, with pen and paper as well as digitally with my tablet. For me, pretty letters combined in a nice way are so so appealing and handlettering makes simple everyday life objects, thoughtful notes and even your grocery shopping list so much more pretty.
