Happy Sunday! :) I spent my day outside in the sun and had a wonderful weekend with my friends. :) Walking through a park in Potsdam, I couldn’t resist taking photos in front of this beautiful lilac bush, it smelled incredibly good.
Hope you enjoyed your weekend, too! :)

I designed my first piece of fabric!!! :)
Hello friends, I’m sooooooo extremely excited and happy, because I received the first piece of fabric I designed myself and this is such a huge step towards an even more handmade production of items, because even the motif of the fabric was drawn by myself. :)
I ordered my fabric at stoffn, a German site where you can order fabric with your own pattern. It takes up to 20 workdays until you receive your order and I am completely satisfied. :) I ordered 1m x 68cm and including shipping I payed about 25€ for it. I can’t wait to start sewing something with my beloved owls. :D
First, I made a sketch of the owls with a pencil, then I used a felt pen for the contours and then I scanned them.

Next, I colored them in photoshop. :)
This one is my favourite, that’s why I have chosen it for ordering the fabric. <3

This is how the page looks like, you can adjust the size of your motif or you can turn it around. I can totally recommend to try it yourself. :)

So here’s the result and I’m sooo happy with it!! :)

Who of you has also already ordered self-designed fabric herself or himself? :) Any experiences to share? :)
And the Winner Is…

Do you remember the giveaway I recently announced? :) Well, today I want to let you know who the lucky winner is… :)

Congrats, Cookiebutton!!! :) I’ll send you an e-mail to get to know your adress and I’ll soon send you the pouch for your phone! :)
24 New Recipes // Number 6: The World’s Best Potato Salad.
Hello friends! I’m not joking, this is the very best potato salad of the world!! :) It’s a highlight on every party and the last time I made it was last Saturday when we had a barbecue in Anja’s garden.
So here’s what you need:
– Potatoes (how much you use depends on the amout of salad you want to make)
– Sheep’s milk cheese
– Garlic
– (Spring) onions
– Olives
– Dried tomatoes
– Pesto (preferably green pesto with basil, olive oil and pine nuts)
Peel the potatoes, wash them, chop them and let them cook until they are soft, then put them into a bowl.
Next, cut onions, garlic, the cheese, the olives and the dried tomatoes, add everything to the potatoes and finally add the pesto. Then mix everything and that’s it!
You don’t need much time for it and it is one of my favourite dishes. You can eat it with some sauces, with meat, with grilled cheese or combine it in a completely different way. Of course, the taste of it depends a lot on the type of pasta you use, but you can simply try it out and see which one you like most. (In case you want to make pesto yourself, here on Anja’s blog you can find a recipe. It is in German, but the photos are self-explanatory and maybe it even helps you regardless the language. :))
As you can see on the image below, we ate it with sausages, but since I haven’t eaten meat for half a year now, this is only a vegetarian sausage made of tofu and vegetables. :) I must admit that I am not a huge fan of tofu, I rather like vegetable burgers, but nevertheless, I try to eat it regularly because it is healthy. :)

I hope you like this recipe, have fun! :)

Lu loves fashion – Yellow Garage Doors
Bag: H&M
Happy Easter, dearest readers! :) I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Here in Potsdam it is as sunny and warm as it normally is in summer and therefore I spend nearly every free minute outside, I’ll share some photos soon. :)
Those new outfit photos were taken by Flo when we went out for a walk and I discovered those amazing, yellow garage doors yesterday.
I currently love posting photos of what I wore, but that won’t become the main focus of my blog. There are always short phases in which I don’t find that much time for crafting or sewing as usual or when I don’t feel totally inspired and then I really enjoy taking those photos, because I love thinking about what I wear and how to combine clothes so that the colors are matching and moreover, since I don’t intend to walk around naked, there’s always time for that, even when I’m busy with studying or other things. :)
By the way, don’t forget to enter the giveaway, so far only a few people have participated. :)
Love, Lu
